Medieval houses

These archaeological remains were discovered in 2008 during the rehabilitation work carried out in Bocairent’s historic quarter. They are of notable interest as they show the type of dwellings in use during the process of industrialisation, a key period in our town’s history. Textile work was performed in the houses in addition to the age-old tasks of livestock care and agricultural labour on the orchard terraces.
