Route traced by the Centre Excursionista Bocairent
Leaving the Ayuntamiento town hall square, where you will find the first fountain in the middle of the square. Continue along Mossén Hilari street, cross over the “Darrere la Villa” bridge and a little further on you will come to the d’En Ferris fountain and the washhouse opposite. Take the right hand path just after here, go through the tunnel under the main road and take the pathway to the Ceg farmstead, the Casa l’Horta and l’Alqueria, where you will find a washing place at ground level made out of stone; then take the path in the direction of the sierra until arriving at the Teula pool.
The route continues along the path to Castalla, linking up with the Teulars trail where you will find the Teulars fountain and the washhouse; continue on up until you get to the Santa Bárbara chapel, where you can take a rest next to the Plà fountain and the hundred-year-old poplar tree.
Following the indications of the GR-7, pass by the Mingol famstead characterised by its enormous cypress tree, until you reach a post signalling the PR-370 to the left of the path, which will take you to the sports centre in Alfafara and the Azud fountain; from here take the tarmac road on the left, which will lead you to the Alborets farmstead and fountain. Cross over the Alborets bridge, and keep on going until you come to the old railway line, now asphalted, and a little further on pass underneath the main road via the tunnel and you will reach your initial departure point.
